  8. Kahlee, I have a green story that might interest you about how a small, non-profit organization is making a big environmental impact with recycled plastic shopping bags.

Conserve employs hundreds of underprivileged women in Delhi to collect up to 6,000 discarded plastic shopping bags each day and deliver them back to the production facility. The bags are sanitized, sorted by color, and then arranged in beautiful patterns on a blank canvas. The canvas is fed into a heating unit where the plastic is fused together forming a single sheet of Handmade Recycled Plastic (HRP).

Fashion designers from London, Paris, Milan, and Moscow have created handbag patterns (templates) for the women to cut from the HRP sheets and then sew into stylish, European-style handbags. Conserve supports over 300 impoverished families via this fair trade model and production is about 100 handbags per day.

These eco-hip bags have become ‘all the rage’ in Europe as consumers embrace the ‘fashion with a conscious’ statement each bag makes. Conserve bags are finally making their US debut as part of a holiday season charity event sponsored by Planet Charity.

There are many remarkable aspects to this story that I would be happy to share at your request, including the recent Ashoka fellowship awarded to Conserve. Please feel free to contact me by replying to this email or by phone at 515.418.6515.

    Thanks,

It fed her every emotion, prodding her anger and settling an icy lacing on despair. He stood still, letting them look their fill as they slowly filed into the room. A number of prices? Eyrhaen thought to watch Tykir suck him. The stone beneath her clutching fingers started to crumble. They sat on the dusty floor of a wide cavern. Sitting up, she rubbed her hands. Since you will be the test subject, I think youll be feeling more than seeing. Brevin had called them teasing on more than one occasion. The fact that I wasnt in control of my magic only made things worse. Let me go, you oaf. They all remained shirtless but wore boots now, and Brevin and Lanthan were lightly armed. She arched her back as best she could and screamed. She growled, frustration buzzing beneath her skin. The larger part of her brain writhed with the rest of her body. She turned her head to find Tykirs soft lips. She blinked, never having seen it from that angle. Three men at once, all the time, is exhausting! We arent exactly a monogamous society. She met his gaze seriously.
