– To ever truly be happy in this world you have to have something to call your own, a pet, a child, a car. We need some outer to fill our inner. Oh yeah!

– No matter how hard you try, you will never, never please every single person you meet. And the only way to please yourself is to stop trying.

– People will make up things about you when they really want to hate you and have no good reason to. It’s useless to try to change someone’s opinion about you. Might as well try to accept the fact that they will never be your friend.

– There is no such thing as a “true friend”. Not until you become acquainted with yourself. Giving someone the title of true friend sets the bar way too high and only leads to dissappointment. While you can’t please everyone all the time, believe it or not, everyone can’t please you all the time either.

– A lot of people do a lot of things without thinking about the consequences. Don’t beat them up so much for being human.

– Watch out for people who think they know how others should act. They tend to spend so much time judging others’ actions that they forget about how they are acting (and usually it turns out to be in a manner which they are ridiculing).

– Just because they are our parents doesn’t mean shit.

– Life is hard. Cry if you must, but then move on. There’s a whole lot more in store.

– Just when you think that everyone you’ve ever known sucks, turn and look at yourself. Maybe you suck too. Or maybe you’re just stuck. Stuck in the Land of Me. The Land of Me strives to be a place of perfection for you but there’s a problem. It’s a very lonely place. No one else lives in Land of Me but you. To me it’s a Land of You. Time to join the real world. In the real world people suck. They suck because they aren’t living in your world.

– Some of the happiest moments in my life are times when I’m all alone.

CHRIS BENOIT: I’VE LOST ONE OF MY WRESTLING HEROES

At around 5:30pm Pacific Standard Time, I went over to one of the web forums I frequent to check up on something. That’s where I saw the subject line: “Chris Benoit and Nancy Benoit nude (Nancy Daus) found dead in murder suicide.” I didn’t want to believe it. I refused to believe it. Then I want over to the Wrestling Observer, Figure Four Weekly, Atlanta Journal Constitution and saw the news from the world wrestling entertainment about the wrestler murder suicide. The reality began to sunk in. Christopher Michael Benoit, at the age of forty, had passed away. For the last few weeks, we have been losing wrestler after wrestler after wrestler. I watched and read as some of the legends of the squared circle I remember watching and, at times, idolizing growing up had passed away. Names like Eddie Guerrero, Bam Bam Bigelow, Mike Awesome, Sherri Martel, Bad News Allen, Abe Coleman. A vast majority of them passed away within the age of forty. And now Chris Benoit joins that group. A wrestler who is among one of my all-time favorites. A man who could always be depended upon to help make wrestlers and to put on good matches. The last name I ever wanted to see listed as “passed away.”
